Papa Modern

IMG_9318

Or "father of modernism" rather, as wikipedia refers to him.
He is considered by many as the creator of the modern skyscraper, was an influential architect and critic of the Chicago School, was a mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright, and an inspiration to the Chicago group of architects who have come to be known as the Prairie School.

One of the more gracefully understated monuments at Graceland.

Why, I can look out my window and see one of his buildings. I think it (the Wainwright Building) was the third steel frame structure in the world. I have a lot of admiration for his work.
