
OK, it's not really all that dramatic. Although I do feel a bit weird actually, post marathon. Like, what now? What was that all about anyway? But the post title is the same as the song below, which gave me a boost in the last mile or so with its perfect mantra: "I'm going to keep on running." Not at all planned, nor had I ever even really noticed that lyric. I just knew Heartless Bastards had the proper energy for the end of a marathon.
Above is the view before the starting line, as I walked with the throngs until things thinned out enough to actually start running.

Do you have to be a heartless bastard in some sense to run a marathon, punishing yourself for four hours?

This picture made me smile because I can see the building I used to live in way back behind the Fairmont Hotel. My windows are actually in this photo because I faced this direction. I loved living there.
